Children and Youth

At NorthWay Uniting Church we have a variety of groups to suit everyone. You can explore these by clicking through below:

Sunday School runs during the 9 am worship service at our Beldon Campus and caters for children three years and above. We meet in the chapel for songs, prayers and sharing before exploring scripture through age-appropriate play, stories and craft activities. Sunday School provides a space for our children to learn and grow in their faith while having fun. All of our Sunday School teachers have Working with Children Checks and many years of experience working with their respective age-groups.

The children start in the service with their families and go to Sunday School after the children’s address. They return to the service before the benediction to share what they have learned. On Communion Sundays (1st and 3rd Sunday of the month) The children meet in the chapel at 9 am and return to the service to share in Communion.

Throughout the year we also run a number of social events including picnics, movie nights and other outings. Family members are welcome to attend these events. Keep an eye out on the NorthWay Facebook page and newsletter for information on upcoming events.

NorthWay Youth Group is now on hiatus until we can find a new coordinator or option to sustain this group. NorthWay is in talks with Trinity North UC to look at joining Youth Groups to make both groups stronger in 2023.

The NorthWay Uniting Church Playgroup is there to serve the local community by providing an opportunity for families to meet for play, friendship and support.

The playgroup meets from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesdays during school terms at the Beldon Campus.

Each family group donates a piece of fruit and makes a gold coin donation towards costs. The playgroup set up in three individual play areas: the auditorium, the crèche and the outdoor play area.

Most children are accompanied by their parents or grandparents.
